The
first model was introduced in 1915, but this camera dates from 1917
and features a hinged flap on the rear of the camera in which the
photographer could write various details with a metal
stylus at the time of exposure. Thus light filtering through the backing
paper would expose the sensitive film. An early form of data back
camera!
